It was great to return to Glenmarie Valley course. One of the best courses in Malaysia with no two holes the same and beautiful scenery. After considerable rain the night before the course held up well with only a few wet patches before the greens. With check in pretty smooth, we set of virtually on time but for the usual local flight nipping in front, 5 flights took to the course.
Speed of play was a little slow on the front nine until the heavens eventually opened with the first flight on hole 17. After waiting half an hour to play and then reaching a completely waterlogged green it was clear it would take a long time for the green to clear. Given the time booking for lunch it was clear all flights wouldn’t be able to finish for some time. El Pres called it and headed to the restaurant with his flight. Those who stayed on the course waited long enough to complete and the third flight played through the second one in the rain! By the time they reached the 17th they were able to play around the remaining puddles! The restaurant was fairly amenable and third group arriving an hour later and still before the second group off 10 that had been a held up buy a group in front at the crossover. We had a fairly enjoyable lunch at the Twelve Roads Restaurant with much liquids consumed. The restaurant was perhaps named because of the twelve turnoffs required to get there from Glenmarie with some having difficulty! even though it only took 20 minutes! However the food was excellent.

After lunch El Pres thanked all for attending and welcomed three new players to the fold with Brian Clark and Seve Sierra on their first games and Chris Miller (who attended the May away) participating in now his second KLOGS game but first in KL.
Some players were more prepared for the day than others!

Results
The scoring was good with 7 players hitting or bettering their handicaps, the February winner was El Pres, who’s score was 39 after 16 before his rain stop, but with 4 points added to his score in true KLOGS fashion he is cut 7!, with a projected 79 for 43 points. Paul was playing of a max 14, 4 above his index. Now playing off 7. Second on count back was Ricardo Castro with 84 for 38 cut 2. With third place Geoff McLaws with 81 for 38 cut 1. Ricardo our wine sponsor kindly donated his bottle of fiz back to the society! Thanks Ricardo.

El Pres – June Winner and successful down in one of a very cold pint!

COTD
Nominations this month for COTD were few and far between, with KLOGGERS apparently being on their best behavior! as follows:
- Tony nominated Sigi for only remembering he had the tape for measuring the NTP after the third par 3.
- El Pres Nominated Tony as it was he who passed on the responsibility for carrying the tape and suggested Sigi took it before play!.
With no other nominations Tony won on a supermajority!
Showing his vast experience downing the mug in short measure!

Fines
With the red and white boxes on most holes very close to each other there were limited ladies tee box penalties. The fines were also limited, only one for late arrival! Probably a record for KLOGS.
Joining us today from afar was our honorary member Mike Smith

Mike deciding to share his vast experience continued to impart his wisdom over a few more pints at the after party in Bangsar!
