El Pres thanked our sponsors Old Club House, Wines Direct and the Renaissance Hotel KL.
After the novelty prizes the winner’s mug went to Allan Wright.
After the game we adjourned to the club restaurant expectant of the reliable mushroom soup followed by fish ‘n’ chips. On this occasion we were not disappointed, good food uniquely presented was enjoyed by all.
Richard Rodwell was the runner up and kindly gave his prize of a bottle of wine to Jimmy Leggett the day’s highest scorer. Bernie Schobert came third and received a sleeve of balls.
COTD nominations:-
- El Pres for hooking his tee shot on the 17thand then drilling his second on to the green and sinking the birdie.
- Richard Rodwell on the Longest Drive hole for going from tee box to another tee box.
- Jimmy Leggett for not knowing the difference between a tree and a chair.
- Richard Rodwell for taking relief from Jimmy’s chair.
- Richard Rodwell for buying new shoes then complaining that this was the reason he was playing sh*te.
- El Scribe for smacking his face with his own ball, Rick “O”” Shea off a tree root. A rather cheeky shot.
The scribe won the COTD by a landslide.
