KLOGS July game once again was at the stunning Valley Course of the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam. KLOGS having recently played there it was great to get back and test our skills again. The pissing rain in the morning did look ominous. But the golfing GODs looked down on us and stopped the rain in time for them to give all the greens a quick cut and roll before we commenced on time. A little bit of brass neck saw us drive past two local flights that had commandeered our tee time. One advantage of the first is that the whites are directly in front of the blues, so they bottled it and our caddies told them this was our flight time!
Teeing off from tee box 1, all 3 flights made good time and finished in under 4.5 hours. Greens considering the torrential early downpour were true and running at about 9.5 to 10 on the Stimp meter. Following the game, KLOGGERS were off to one of our new favourites, the Twelve Roads Restoran for some much-deserved refreshment and lunch.
After returning for a we trip to Scotland El Pres kicked things off welcoming Hayden Moore for his second game and Alan Filipov who had to skip lunch. Lim Chin Hong was a welcome returnee to the group, however even after some chiropractor exercises from Robert had to leave the course after 7 holes! See the pics! Peter Dabrowski had to dash of for a meeting after 9 holes, however Andrew did join us for his customary couple of red wines (bottles) and his monthly pork ration.

3rd Place – Iain WISE 98/ 37 pts cut 1 2nd Place – Martin Belderink 98/39 pts cut 2
1st Place – Berni Schobert 79/45 points cut a lot!
Fines:
- Ladies Tee box fines, 3 x RM50
Lowest Stableford today – (OCB from Sigi) Tony Lynch who had the privilege of downing the winner’s beer!
Which he did in record speed in one go, obviously no brain to freeze!
Nominations for COTD:
- Stan was nominated for be over officious with the rules (except with himself). However please note KLOGGER a tree root is tough shit and a drop shot if you move your ball, except when stated as a local rule on your card. Tree root Rule
- Iain was retrospectively nominated for booking three flights on Valley and one on Garden. (However, he failed to say which flight he planned to put them!
- Sigi was nominated for searching for his ball and blaming everyone for stealing it only to discover he had marked it and put it in the NTP pouch and put it away.
SIGI was unanimously nominated as COTD and quickly dispatched the mug of beer.
