OFFICE BEARERS

The Day’s Play
We had perfect golfing weather at the excellent Glenmarie Valley. Conditions were cool and slightly overcast with buggy on course for most of the holes. The days play started with two flights from both tee box 1 and 10. Play was fast and we finished in good time.
Lunch was taken at Restaurant Twelve, where we had a turnout of sixteen Players + honorary member, Richard Moss and Chez who could not play due to injury. The usual excellent food washed down with 60 bottles of beer. Iain welcomed our new guests, Laurance Beattie and Miguel Morales.
There was a great turn our of old Tankards, Allan’s from 2003 and Tony’s from 2004. Let’s see if we can get more next year.

AGM
Accounts
Moneybags presented a hard copy of the 2025 accounts which were unanimously accepted by the members. Thank you, Iain, for a fantastic job in managing the funds.
Change over year – (294 MYR)
Balance carried forwards – 4,967 MYR
Proposed constitution changes
1. Any player scoring 36 points and above not being placed in top 3, shall not have their handicap increased for their next game
Rejected. Only top 3 cut all others go up by one to maximum 28.
2. Any new member shall have a maximum of 18 handicap if they are unable to produce an official club or society handicap
Rejected. Members felt that whilst we want to keep out “bandits” and ensure a fair scoring system, the fact that a guest has to complete 3 rounds is sufficient to arrive at a handicap index for that player. Guest has to play one game with committee member before becoming a member.
Side note, allmembers are encouraged (especiallyif they play in other groups) to use the myGolf2u or MGA WHS apps to register their scores for each game played.

Congratulations to Chez for becoming our El Pres. In his acceptance speech he expressed sincere gratitude for the outgoing Pres of 5 years, Paul Geddes. This was warmly applauded by all the members. Thanks again Paul.
Our new El Pres did say that he would not be able to emulate Paul by being on the piss till 5am and playing golf a few hours later.
Chez played his first game for Klogs in 2002 and encouraged all members to try and attend every game. He thanked Sigi and Ricardo, our sponsors, these past few years. Chez says that he is very happy with the way the society has been run and only minor tweaks would be needed to improve things.
Chez also mentioned that Matty would help with the IT/Website aspects and we look forward to Matty bringing the society into the AI age.
Good luck Chez we are proud to have you as our new El Pres!
