KOTA SERIEMAS SCRIBE REPORT

18TH June 2025

We all got up bright and early so we could tee off first and therefore avoid the possibility of Jumbo flights impeding our progress – this was the advice given by the club management.  All went well for the first 8 holes and we sped around the course. It was then that the best laid plans of mice and men started to fall apart. The complete numpty of a starter decided to populate the course with the jumbo flights, what we were trying to avoid. The consequences were that the second nine holes for all flights took nearly 3 hours. The management when confronted about this couldn’t give a toss. Needless to say, Kota Seriemas is now on the black list and won’t be revisited until things have improved. This is a shame as the course is good and also reasonably priced.

Lunch was taken at the ever-reliable Restoran East of Highway. Most players were there quite quickly apart from our intrepid travellers Joe and Lee who managed to arrive nearly half an hour after everyone else and thus missed the excellent serving of pork two ways. The food was excellent and accompanied by ample quantities of beer and wine

EL Pres got the prize giving underway by welcoming our guests Steve Hopgrove and Garry Noble on his second game. Klogs were also pleased to make Alastair Sims a member.

On to the NTP’s.

Following on from Joe’s antics on the recent May Away his friends have been concerned for his safety. Joe was therefore presented with some flotation aids and a one-hour swimming lesson courtesy of Klog’s own water polo Olympian.

The November Away will be to Vung Tau between the 17th and 22nd November 2025 details are presently being finalised and will be issued shortly.

Next month’s game will be on Wednesday 16th July 2025 venue to be advised.
