The KLOGS February game took place at one of KL’s finest golf tracks, Sungai Long Golf Resort.
Gathering on the terrace, the vista before us is just one of the most glorious sights for golfers before starting a round. Just before 7.30am, all 7 flights headed out to the 1st and 10th holes to begin our rounds.
The course was very wet in places but played very well. Amazing considering the rain of the previous afternoon/evening. Thankfully more rain didn’t come and we all completed our rounds in good time, albeit in stifling heat.
Following the game most of us made our way to the nearby 668 Seafood Restoran. Masses of food followed with the usual refreshments and sponsors wine to wash it down.
El Pres then rose to commence proceedings as the afternoon was advancing fast.
Welcoming two new qualifiers to the KLOGS group –
- Kenny Carmichael
- Tom Henson
And, heartily thanked Seve for filling in at the last moment to make up the numbers.

Which brings us to the most popular part of the afternoon, COTD:
COTD Nominations:
- Paul G teed off from the red tee box after seeing Seve pick up his tee from the ladies and wrongly assumed that was the tee box in play. Then realised his error and played from the correct tee box. Might be okay in Matchplay but …….
- Tom Henson for paying well after cut off time ‘because he was on the practice green’. Pay first next time Tom to avoid these nominations.
- Kenny for drinking his caddie’s 100 plus.
- Helmut for knocking over Pietro’s wine in the restoran (twice).

Tom Henson, what a welcome into the group, voted COTD
Phone abuse violations:
Helmut Dicknoether) RM 50 fine each.

Ladies Tee Box Fines:

Of course we cannot forget our generous sponsors, Siggy for providing so many balls to lose, and Ricardo for providing such lovely wine in prizes and refreshments.
POST nomination for COTD was OC Tan who tried to precent his score card as the prizes were being given out!
