It was good to see EL Pres back on the course with his new bionic knee, a spectacular recovery considering the surgery was only 4 weeks ago. Play got underway on time at 8:00am. Overnight rain had softened the course so it was buggy on track. The extra walking obviously didn’t unduly affect our illustrious leader see later. Even with the nocturnal downpour the course was in tremendous condition with the greens running fast and true. We all completed in good time and were all back in the hutch shortly after noon.

The usual restaurant has now decided to close on Wednesday’s so we adjourned to 688 Restaurant 10 minutes drive from the course. Due to a shortage of transport Michael and Benji required a grab to get from the course to the lunch venue. This task should have been fairly straightforward. The hungry masses were however made to wait, as after 20 minutes the grab travellers had still not arrived. Calls were made and it transpired they had gone to a nearby hawker stall which had the same name as the Restaurant. A further grab ride and they eventually arrived.
