Beautiful morning on a stunning Golf course, however our bright outlook on life was soon about to change! With some slow and probably some jumbos we encountered a 5 hr+ round. Clearly the pace didn’t improve the standard of the golf!

Not much nominations on offer today given the number of player however Stan managed to scoop the prize!

After finding and pocketing a stray ball from the other fairway and after being confronted by the searching golfer, sneakily dropped the ball out his buggy and shouted “Here it is!”

Unbeknown to him his flight parters spotted it and dogged him in it!

   1. We had a healthy 44 members last year including our overseas players similar to previous years. And look forward to the same and a little more this year. So keep taking the statins! It was great to see the usual suspects on the aways which is a great tradition of the society, but with a number of competing society’s also running aways the competition for attendees is growing, However no less fun seems to be being had!.

• Golfer requiring most improvement – Player with lowest aggregate over 6 games
  • Sigi Maierbrugger with a score not to be divulged! Wins a 300MYR voucher for a golf lesson with James Lay of GolfTec. Who kindly donated the voucher and will offer a voucher for each month going forward. Other notable achievements.
    • Craig Schul for playing only twice in the year at Templer and wining one of them! Two great aways without losing anyone or sustain any life threatening injuries or arrests.
  • COTY – Award tankard, flask and honour to keep the perpetual trophy for the next year.
    • In the end there was only one winner Iain Wise by a country mile for ‘crimes against humanity’ too numerous to mention. In his absence Tony drank his mug of beer! Given his collection of flasks it was suggested that an alternative “reward” be dished out if he wins again!
• Constitution : Discussion and review of items advised in advance of the meeting see below.
  • Only one constitutional change was put forward. Which was to use NHS/USGA Handicaps for individuals for the two day open tournament on the aways allowing all an equal chance to win. This was carried unanimously. 2024 Committee Election Results
